    honestly, i haven't gotten into CBs or look at them since i learned from you guys that it's possible to fry the radios :bananadead:
    but getting a handheld will allow me to chat with those on the hard mounted systems right?

    besides getting a license and tests, anything i should know about HAM?

    besides most here will not use it, I prefer traditional way of yelling. :drunk:
    Haven’t seen people use it either when I traveled across US/Canada on my long overland trips. But if you want to play overland game go ahead. I would just get Garmin InReach if you are concerned about safety.

    That's the tensioner pulley if I'm not mistaken. They say it can't be done but I did it. Had to press a sleeve into an upper idler pulley and it worked.

    Just do both... Or all three. I carry GMRS in the truck at all times, have cb from before and a newly installed ham.
