according to ye olde forum fodder, the washer reservoir is one of the only GM sourced and supplied parts. So that oughta tell you everything you need to know

geez, that brought back some repressed memories of hauling winter pizza around in the early 90s in an old 70s corolla which the heater and defrost did not work, had to occassionally reach out like that in the freezing cold to scrape a little on the outside as well as the inside. the rear window had the electric defrost lines which worked well at least

i don't suppose that most Toyota dealers service dept uses Rain-X washer fluid. I honestly don't recall ever having to fill that tank by myself, always topped off at the oil change, have never run it dry... I don't even know if there is a low level indicator light such is on the fuel tank level

some models do have a low level light. I doubt they use Rain-X (or any water repelling) washer fluid. In my experience, if you put Rain-X on your windshield and use the regular blue washer fluid, it eats away at the Rain-X almost immediately. I guess it is a light strength degreaser without any kind of water repellent mixed in.

I kid, I kid... At least you don't drive a ragptop Rangler, or a VW Cabriolet, or a 3rd gen, lol

My dad's friend had a miata, and afaik completely stock (ish). I went for a ride with him in it as a kid. All I remember was my face being plastered against the window, lol.

Whatever it was, duct tape stuck to it really well. I had duct tape holding the neck together for like 8 years.

So the one I got from Amazon when I relocated it to the engine bay is definitely an upgrade then...

When I relocated my washer reservoir, the new one didn't have the mount for the sensor, so I just drilled a 1" (iirc) hole with a step bit and used the pump/sensor assembly form my original one. Worked perfectly. That also meant I didn't have to futz with the plug wiring...
