Extended brake lines and cb hookup. Plan to be at the garage about about 8 saturday if that's good with you?

I plan to drive down Thursday afternoon get in between 8 to midnight depending on work.

Going to pack the big tent if anyone needs extra storage space or doesnt want to bother with a tent. It can fit two queen mattresses with room to spare. Easy instant set up.

I forget if they had any meals provided?
Should I bother packing cooking equipment?
Have it all, if needed. Or can chip in groceries if anyones wanting to be master chef.

    STL Folks,
I just updated my ECU from "04B03" --> "04B04" using my own laptop and Techstream. The process was super simple and very much worth the update for the tranny shift on the AT's. If anyone is on the fence about doing this themselves, then I'd be happy to show you how. Of course:

DISCLAIMER: Do it at your own risk

You might have the update already since you got a 2017 model. Mine was built in Spring of 2016 which I tried to get the dealer to update, but they refused because they couldn't reproduce the problem. BUT, I was okay with that because I bought OVTune kit and came across the post where someone posted "how to" update the ECU with the TSB fix. Killed 2 birds with one stone basically:

    - TSB fix
    - OVTune

Okay, Brandon at coastal offroad is thinking this is a dual swingout, just fyi. price is 25% off advertised price with no shipping, if that is indeed what it is price is 967.00 I'm awaiting conformation via pics if he needs them thats what it is. If it happens to be a single swingout, it will be cheaper by approx 200ish...

For some this is a refresh, for others this will be new. I apologize for the redundancy.

    Travel + camping:
We’ve found that leaving at midnight Wednesday gets us there in time to get cars parked at the very front of the line at the gate before it opens to allow us into the group event/camp site. The urgency stems from there being very few good spots that stay good no matter the weather. And out of those good spots only one is big enough to hold a group our size. Sounds easy right? The problem is that people that know the place will be competing with us for the space so when we pass the gate we do the tech inspection which is a hood pop to show that the batteries are secured and a fire extinguisher is present. Once done we blast up to our spot to claim it. We have to spread out as not everyone is going to be part of the caravan so we need to save space for them. As you can see, it gets interesting trying to keep our mob together.

Extra tents help make this easier so if anyone has even small pup tents being able to put them up helps claim space which keeps kooks we don’t know out of our perimeter.

Not all of us can travel at full tilt speeds due to gearing, tire size, towing trailers, etc. this explains the early departure time as it give us plenty of time to deal with fuel stops, breakfast, and allowing everything to cool off before we attack the long and steep inclines east of Nashville.

    Meals:
You will get at least two meal tickets for Friday and Saturday night. Hamburger and a bag of chips, bring you’re own beverages.

I’m towing my camper trailer which has three cook surfaces and a fridge/freezer. We’ve found that when we set it up it acts as a perfect common area for us all to use. You’re welcome to set up you’re camp kitchens if you like but know that you have an invitation to make use of the kitchen on the trailer.

We usually do our own meals for breakfast and supper at camp but lunch is something we prepare in advance to take with us onto the trails.

Unless you are on a restricted diet, or have specialty items required for recipes, we can do a fair bit of grocery shopping in town once we get setup. You’ll find that a few of us prefer this as it supports local business that in turn object to legislation that would reduce or remove our access to such an amazing place.

That pretty much sums it up. For those of you that have seen it in the spring you’ll be happy to know that it looks different at the end of summer so all of those awesome views will be quite different this time around.

Bring gum boots and sunscreen. No matter the weather it’s going to be fun.

10-4 i figured you would be restricted with work. @G.T. can chime in on your other questions maybe on Saturday. Essentially cooking stuff are covered and food can be discussed with everyone present...

    Annnnnnnnnd there it is:rofl:

    Another thing to consider.

In March I jokingly suggested that we should get a GI surplus GP medium tent as our circus is just going to keep growing and growing and it would be awesome for events just like this as no matter what we’d always have both shade and dry shelter.

So here’s the ask. Anyone have one, or have access to one to bring with us?
