Brought in the Taco for alignment because I have noticable wear on driver side outside and small pull to left. Sitting on 887 and 5100 lowest setting with stock UCA. 265 /70 17 ko 2

Got a call from service advisor saying they did a review of current alignment and its within spec and alignment is acceptable.
So question is do I leave it as is- pay the 70 for the check. Or get them to tweak it up for 140?
Will upload specs from advisor in a few minutes.

can't really dialog w/o your specs as you know.

are you at a dealership? generally speaking, that's one of the worst places to get alignment advice. i am yet to meet a service advisor who actually has any real understanding of alignment numbers and what specs mean. maybe your SA is good though. waiting for your specs.

Might be the rear causing the pull...what kind of lift do you have for the rear? When I installed my All Pro Expo springs I tweaked the rear axle a bit askew which really threw my alignment off.

I had zero lift in rear for awhile and had the outside wear noticeable with pull. I just recently installed 1” block for a trial too see how much lift I I’ll need for rear before I get new leafs and shocks

I'm not sure then, I'm no expert on alignment numbers especially with the rear axle but those numbers being different side to side makes me think the rear is causing the pull somehow. Your front numbers look fine for a stock alignment. Most people on here usually shoot for closer to 3 degrees of caster but I don't know if Toyota will do that for you.

Thanks for heads up anyways. I’ll look into the rear alignment more once I get there with the new parts.

Not a whole lot to be done with the rear axle but if it's slightly askew it can throw it off, like in my case I tightened the u-bolts down after I installed my leaf springs and the axle was slightly more forward on one side than the other. Since you haven't messed with your leaf springs yet I'm not sure that's what you're dealing with, unless it's always been that way since it was new.

    Too few to list.
Won't get to 3 degrees on caster with stock UCA's on 887's. For $70, they can try and tweak it but in no way paying $70 just for a check. Lots of reputable shops offer alignment checks for free.

True, I was only able to get 3 degrees after installing SPCs.

<<<< Alignment tech here. I would have them raise caster closer to the 2.5 mark and have them raise the right front camber to match the left and set the toe "in" rather than out as it sits now. The rear could be causing a bit of a problem as the thrust angle is off center causing a "rear steer effect" essentially pushing the front end in the opposite direction much like a forklift steers from the rear.

ETA my shop charges $80.00 for an alignment $70.00 for a toe set only and $25.00 for a check only/no adjustment.

Thanks for chiming in. You think caster increase possible with stock uca? About the front right camber ....my driver side looks angled as is lol

From my experience you won't get to 2.5 with stock UCAs and 887s. That's probably close to max caster as is. If you're getting uneven tire wear and a pull, I personally would have them adjust the camber and toe (which will affect caster but hopefully not too much.)

I have 5100's set at zero on mine with 888's and I was able to get almost 2 with the stock UCA's by angled I would assume judging by the numbers it is tipped in at the top.

This is what I'm thinking (as a former alignment tech). With that much toe in the rear in the same direction (front in on left, front out on right), rear axle pushing right presents as a vehicle drift left. It's not horrible and it's not going to explain tire wear but it could be the pull.

Would definitely be doing more caster too though. These trucks don't like the spec and ~2.5 is a good spot.

Your rear end thrust angle is really high which is likely causing the pull. It should be below 10 preferably at 0.

They sell plates which you sandwich between the axle housing and the hub which allow for toe correction.
