What if you bolt on a new high capacity oil pan?

I wondered about that. The tapping part is easy. It's the removing and reinstalling that I don't want to do.

The oil pan is tiny, it’s not like a full oil pan front to rear. It’s probably 5 by 8 inches. Super easy to access.

I did my first oil change myself on mine this weekend. I was amazed at how small it was and could see how people drain the tranny if they aren't paying attention.

With the turbos mounted so low and far back, there might be the need for a pump to get oil to return back to the oil pan. Usually turbos are placed above the oil pan so gravity will make the oil drain back into the pan. There are other methods of achieving this though too, like using a scavenging oil pump system.

There will be a scavenge pump in the turbo kit from my understanding

Not only that but -10 return line at a minimum too to make sure the oil drains quick enough. Im interested in seeing how this setup lasts over 20-30k miles. Maybe the one picture makes it look worse then it is, so ill reserve full judgement until i see more.

Turbo is more power, but more complicated.

You’ve already done the hardest part. Get the turbo.
