    I've slept 3 and a 60lb dog in the bed once. Definitely crowded but I think it's plenty big enough for two. Is a GFC much wider?

    My fiberglass is beginning to show signs of fatigue. Slow offroad stuff I think it would be fine but the vibes from the high speed stuff take its toll.

    I think it’s more about length - the wilderness is only 6’ long, because it’s just the top of the canopy right?
    The GFC was designed to comfortably fit two 6’-6” people, which gives me an inch to spare lol

    My last canopy cracked at the corners where you would expect, I did some fiberglass reinforcements but that will probably only work temporarily.

    It's a bit over 6'. I'm 6'1" and can stretch out fine but any more I'd probably not be able to.

    The bed is only 48"? wide or something. Its super cozey. The bed was also pretty short and Im 6'. Im pretty broad shouldered though which doesn't help with the width.

    Devin and I spent one night in the Nest when I had that one. It was cool but was also Feb and cold so I didn't mind being close. In the summer though..it would not be fun haha

    I could have lived with it. However, I just didn't trust the fiberglass and wood to survive how I drive.

    The recharge is the cheap part to do yourself haha. The only part of that whole job you'd have had any group le with is getting the old refrigerant recovered.

    Then how can you learn, won't be the last time AC fails, specially doing what we do haha. AC work is some of my least favorite but if you don't do it yourself you get royally shafted on the labor. I only ever pay for the leak tests, everything else is cake.

    I still like having the windows down when wheeling as much as possible. AC on still but still windows down.

    I'm a windows down kinda guy too, leaves me dirty, but even with AC I want all of the clarity of seeing and smelling outside haha.

    Also can someone riddle me why my weird old 3.0 V6 sportscar can get 28MPG easily but my I4 light truck couldn't do better than 21.

    Yeah I like the fresh air. Don't care about the dust much.

    Better aerodynamics would be my guess. Black magic that is.

    You can just buy another switch to swap in I'm pretty sure.

    And if the group is predicted out enough it's not a big deal. I just go for it. You're never out long enough for it to be super annoying and all in your hair anyways.

    I personally can't stand the noise of having the window down above 45mph. Driving the mountain road for work I use the AC as well or my contacts get super annoying from all the dust.

    Just checked the output temp in mine the other day and it was 45°. Never had to fix anything with it.

    My window is down most the time, highway or forest road, year round.

    no it does not. Doesn't take much for them to total anything anymore though. Much more of a headache for them.
