    Figured there may be someone out there looking for this information, since SCS themselves lists that the RAY10 does not work on 1st gen Tacomas with the manual locking hubs up front. I can say that they won't work with factory Aisin outers, but using Warn outers they work perfectly since the shape is different.

    Great info and thank you for sharing with others.

    Also note that on early 1st gen Tacoma, the factory outers are smaller in diameter than what's found on a 40 series, 60 series, and 80 series Land Cruiser. This means that the wheels will fit without the need to machine out the center cap lip. However, in every case, it is always best to test fit the wheels before mounting the tires on.

    Is this with a spacer or without? I’ve got aisin manual hubs, but I’m planning to rebuild them soon so I’m just wondering if I should buy new warn hubs instead.

    A few bolts are different.
    How thick is the wheel mounting surface? The picture of the blue ray10s definitely looks like there is a spacer behind the wheel to have the face of the wheel even with the locking hub dial. For reference the hub assembly is 3.5”-4” tall if I remember correctly.

    Edit: My reference is coming from a pre Tacoma locking hub.

    I was just planning on having the hub bored to 108mm when ever I was able to get a set of the ray10s with polished outer ring.

    Haha wow, I asked a couple years ago and was told only f5 would work. Waited a year with no luck of them being in stock, finally broke down and bought these crappy black rhinos.
    Thanks for posting this bud, now I can start saving up again for new wheels, haha ‍

    The F5 would be a direct fit. Back then, we didn't have any early 1st gens with manual hubs to do any testing. We always advised that they could be made to fit with a little effort, but most folks were scared off by that. So we were only able to recommend what we knew would work.

    I'll say it again, no spacers on that setup o_O
