I have attempted to begin removing my ARB bumper so I can recondition it. Not 5 minutes in and I’ve hit a problem. The bolts pictured below won’t come out, I think whatever is securing them on the other side has broken free due to surface rust and the whole assembly is now free-spinning. I’ve attempted accessing it through the various openings but have been unsuccessful. Any tips? Also below is a picture of the rust issue I have with the bumper that I plan to correct by stripping the powdercoat and painting. Thoughts on that are appreciated as well.D49E2834-CAF4-44B0-B1C2-0A8239B1E24D.jpg7D211528-B762-43CC-A467-D0B1FAF88932.jpg

ARE cap, wade inchannel vent visors, weathertec floor mats, ranch hand grill guard, tuffy security boxes in bed, lockable tailgate handle. Still have stuff that needs to be installed and still have stuff ordered lol.
grind the head off than repair after everything is off and put new bolt.

This is what is rusted solid, Cage nuts

Grinding the head off the bolts will probably be the easiest fix. As there are 8 of them holding that splash guard on.

If you can get a pair of pliers up in behind, and just twist them off with some force. The rust will make it easier. If they are already free spinning, you can use the pliers to hold it while you take the bolt out.

Thanks for the quick response. Has anyone seen an ARB bumper rust this bad and be repaired? I feel like it’s pretty excessive.

Just moved to northern NY. But it started doing this while I lived in southern Alabama.
