You got off easy. lol That deer was small and low to the ground.

I hit a deer doing 84MPH (135km/h). Put a serious dent in my steel Pelfreybilt bumper. Passersby told me the deer was decapitated. Just about center punched him/her square in it's rib cage I think.

No, they are a giant scam and proven to be positively worthless by numerous scientific studies (including one by a deer management/farm which directly tested them on deer).

Most of them don’t even emit any sound at all and the ones which did were so worthless it didn’t bother the wildlife at all. There’s some good data out there if you search for it... and some data on how much money people wasted (still waste) on worthless gadgets and gizmos that don’t work.

That's crazy that the insurance company would give him trouble without a police report... Who gets a police report at an accident??

It was dead and mangled. I was in no mindset at the time to recover the deer. It was off of the roadway at final resting place.

You’re a lucky SOB. You’re truck could have been seriously damaged. I hit a deer about 6 months ago, driving only 50mph, and my truck looked almost just like “SmoPo16”’s. In reality, you don’t hit the deer, the deer hit you. They are like kamikaze pilots and run right into your vehicle on a suicide mission. There is virtually nothing you can do to avoid it.

Deer have to be one of the dumbest animals. Bears aren't much better.
