You are smart and at this point doing the right thing. Its just too bad that a customer has to become so involved trying to get something done correctly. You have a good feel for this now. Think about all those who know nothing and go in only to get hosed, and still do not know they receive substandard efforts.

Yes, been there done that. Also I want to add last two times they recharged the ac I had to pay $115. This time it will be no charge. I am hoping this will be the end of my ac troubles for some time to come, that way I can just figure it out and fix it the right way with out jumping through all the hoops.

Lil update for everyone, the truck is blowing a little bit colder it seems but I actually had to take the truck back because two dents seem to have been installed on the truck in the same spot on both sides. We suspect it was their car wash so their PDR guy is going to fix it tomorrow.

Here’s the damage. Txv, compressor and clutch, condenser. And orings to go with those parts. So far seems better, I will know more tomorrow. But it was blowing 51 at idle which is an improvement so I’ll take it.

Ok so, my truck is still not blowing colder even with the new parts from Toyota. I purchased my own set of AC gauges and have done some testing.

My pressures are better now, and according to the gauges it is sending refrigerant that is around 38 degrees to my evaporator, but the truck is still only blowing at 52 degrees. I compared to my dad's truck, and his pressures were higher but it blows around the same temp as my truck when they are stopped. When he is driving his gets cooler than mine by almost 10 degrees.

This leaves me with a few things that could be bad.
    1. Heater core blender door is bad.
    2. Evaporator core has issue.
    3. Evaporator core temperature probe is bad.
    4. Something in the duct work isn't right.

The Toyota tech said he got the vehicle to blow at 45 degrees while driving, which I never have since I got it back. This makes me wonder that it was blowing that cold before the truck was fully warmed up, which could make me think maybe the heater blend door is bad.

I am going on a trip soon, so I am not sure I will be able to fully test this out. But I feel like I am finally getting somewhere.
