Honestly though, how many people here have had engine problems or even complained about the engine. Most everything has been directed to the transmission or lack there of.

I heard the electric seat motor has more torque than the 3.5 under the hood.

Joking aside, I have power seats in my 2012 4Runner, and without a memory button it is somewhat annoying (my wife is 10" shorter than me and it takes forever to adjust). I'd almost prefer manual TBH. Thankfully the newer 4Runners do have memory buttons, at least in the Limiteds. Once the specs on the next gen 4Runner are announced, we'll decide whether to get a last 5th gen or wait for the 6th.

Hopefully Toyota eventually puts memory buttons in the Tacoma.

Toyota is like Apple of the automotive world. Everyone else is innovating but their products don't seem to last long. Whereas Toyota take ages to innovate their products, but when they do, they do it well, but they make you want to pay for every little upgrade and a freaking $1000 Monitor stand, wait, were talking about trucks.

I guess that a lot of people care about this , and think the Toyota positions are spot on .

ok great, one less thing for people to cry about how bad the Tacoma is. It's a pickup truck, not a sports car or luxury truck/suv. Love my 2nd gen.

The Tundra isn't an opinion bruh. But seriously, these mid-size trucks are pretty large as is. If we design a bigger frame for a bigger engine, we'll have just another full-size.

I'm 5'10" and I haven't had a problem with the range of adjustment horizontally. But I have long limbs and where I've noticed it the most is the height of the seat. I've gotten used to it now but I feel when I put both my feet flat on the floor I'm sitting in a little kid's chair. I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels this way.

tacoma seats are not comfortable, they are borderline garbage IMO.
Power seats should be a welcome addition for anyone.
And no, they will not break FFS.

I adjust my seat maybe twice a year if that, and I drive over 50k annually. Power steering is used constantly, bad comparison.

That was my point, park next to a 1990 1/2 ton Chevy shortbed 4x4 someday...No reason Toyota can't fit a V8 in the Tacoma, they put one in the 4Runner at one time...

I'll admit the seats are on the hard side, but to me it's not a big deal. Just can't drive more than 3 hours in it.

I swear I think that's the truck my father had in the driveway growing up but I was barely old enough to pick my nose.
