Meh, right now Nebraska Fans only really have one grudge... Betcha can't guess who...

Mizzou, meh- we embarrassed them at home last year, we have them here this time. Hope it rains again.

CU- I go to this game every year, At home this year, they still have Hawkins so big whoop, though it always seems like we play them close...

KSU- I just hate them because everyone seems to love them...

KU- Wish you guys the best of luck with the new staff, getting rid of mangino was a smart move, hopefully Turner Gill can turn it around and clean up the program and bring tradition and honor back into it. If nothing else the food budget will be a bit less.
I still say Callahan should have retained Gill and Pelini from Solich's staff. But AD Peterson wasn't having it. Look where that got both Callahan and Peterson. Maybe that whole abortion of football would have never happened. But at least now Gill and Pelini are doing great, and have their own programs now.

Overall as long as we retained our defense and our offense matures up, we'll have a good year. I can talk shit and say we'll win it all, but I honestly think we'll be 11-1 or 10-2, the only games of question being Texas and Texas A&M. But it's college football, and anything can happen, maybe we'll go to the BCS Championship, or maybe we'll blow it all and leave the big 12 with our tails between our legs.

I thought CU and NU were big rivals? I suppose it has probably died down since CU has sucked for 10 years or so. I guess my hatred for Mizzu runs deeper since they are naturally KU's rival. I don't get the KSU love either. Bunch of hillbilly's that live in 1997 lol.

I don't see you guys having a problem with Texas A&M, but being at college station will make it interesting. I still think you guys will pull it out. The Texas game will be a really good game, and I will definitely be tuning in for that one.

You're defense shouldn't take any steps back this year. And as long as you can get a QB that can manage the game and not turn it over you guys will be good. You'll get to the Big 12 Championship game and that will decide if you go to the ship or not in my opinion.

I have no problem cheering for the huskers as long as they aren't playing KU. And I guess we can both agree that Texas should never win another game ever

They are still rivalries, but nothing like they were back in the Big 8 days... Biggest rivalries in my opinion and all pre-date the big 12 except one, and forgive me if you think otherwise.

    1. Oklahoma
    2. Big 12 Only-Texas
    3. Missouri
    4. Kansas
    5. Colorado
    6. Notre Dame- Really wish they would play us again. Word is that every since we red-outed their stadium and won they want nothing of it.

Ya I barley remember the Big 8 days. I wish the NU OU game would be played on thanksgiving like they always use too (or day after, whichever it was).

Now that you mentioned it I do remember hearing about an NU and Norte Dame rivalry. I can't stand Norte Dame; they are right up there with MethU and KSU in my book.

I hate that NU is leaving the Big 12. Sad day when old big 8 teams won't be playing every year. But it's only a matter of time before the Big 12 goes through the whole re-organization deal yet again. I just hope Gill can have the program turned around by then so KU is a little more attractive next go around

Just speaking for myself I would say that it was a pretty good move on their part. Wish my Jayhawks would have done the same, but they weren't offered so....

It's both exciting and sad at the same time.

Exciting because we're getting away from the Big Texas 12 conference, and are striking it out on our own. Worst thing the big 8 ever did was allow the Texas 4 in. I can see allowing UT, T a&m in, but not Baylor and such, it just lost all of the tradition and honor. It is honestly the UT conference. The rest of you are all just along for the ride. This is honestly the opinion of most Nebraskans. To say that that is the general consensus of Nebraska fans is pretty accurate. Just the tourists that come into the store all ask if we are glad that we are finally going to be rid of Texas etc... If you can't figure out where I stand on this issue, I am willing to rant plenty more.

Exciting also because we get to play new teams and get to renew some old rivalries, and get to play some new big teams...

Sad, because we're no longer in a strictly Midwest conference, and are losing some of that tradition. I am going to really miss playing Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. The availability to travel to games is going to be a lot less. Wisconsin and Iowa pretty much are the only options.

I had an idea that Texas was kind of pushing their weight around in the Big 12 office, but with all this re-alignment talk I never knew how bad it really was. After hearing UT complain about not getting their own TV station and the revenue sharing and all that jazz made me hate them even more.

But I think Dan Beebe (Big 12 commissioner) is the dumbest most idiotic human ever born, and that's putting it modestly. He handled the whole situation like a scared little school girl and just let UT walk all over him. But I think he is a UT alum, or an Alum from one of the Texas schools I believe. I could be wrong on that though.

Hopefully when we re-align again KU will either end up in Pac 10 (so I can see more games up in my neck of the woods) or the Big 10. I heard a rumor (and I’m sure it was just that) that the ACC was starting to talk about bringing KU on board to create a basketball super conference. But there were so many rumors flying around during the re-alignment that you couldn’t tell what was real or fake until a press conference was held.

Bring back honor and tradition to KU football? They had honor and tradition?

The Nebraska / KU love between you two is getting a little ghey.

The big 12 conference office may as well just move across Austin and into the UT athletic office. They seem to already essentially be one in the same.

Dude that decade of dominance is 14-4 against the chicken hawks since 91, also including 3 north titles and a big 12 title, to the big 0 for the kitty hawks. So I would say that is almost 2 decades of dominance against your wheat waving tradition. See you october 14th when bill continues his dominance against the Beakers!

Nice numbers, got anything for Nebraska? How about our 3 national championships and many big 12 titles and big 12 north titles since the 90s. How does ksu stack up?

Honestly I cannot compete against the big red record in the big 12, but don't come to a internet battle without any stats...what is many? I know 2 big 12 titles, and 6 north titles, that sounds about right.
