If anyone ever has an opportunity I highly recommend taking a Toyota manufacturing tour, I went recently to TMMTX in San Antonio.
It is an integrated production line with both tundras and Tacoma’s on it. The frame is inverted for the Installation of the suspension components making for a more ergonomic and safer position. I wish I had more time to observe that process.
The workers work 2 hours take a break and go to a different station for the next two hours. Rotating is good for safety and quality.

A new truck rolls off that line every 60 seconds 16 hours a day. There and the body panel stamping is done on site. Everything is built on site but the engines and transmissions which have some assembly at the final plant.

If you feel your alignment is off have the dealer check it .

I think the trucks have come along way the 1st gens has a dash rattle that would have melted your hearts. It was bad and the tsb fix rarely lasted before that damnned dash would start to squeak again.
The second gen had a lot of front timing chain cover leaks and really thin paint.

Yet most of these trucks with their idiosyncrasies have lasted and prevailed as long as a major accident didn’t take them out.

Because they tell the truth about it since they don't own the truck, therefore are not in denial.

Your alignment has never been checked in 320k or it’s never needed adjustment? Cause if it’s never been checked, I’m sure that tread wear is concerning.

I must be the only guy who gets his alignment checked on every vehicle once a year. :notsure: Why wouldn’t you do that? I just consider it part of preventative maintenance.

Every vehicle I’ve owned has had at least a recall. Lack of a recall is not evidence of no problems either.

I bought my first Tacoma in 17 going back to Ford or Dodge. Good truck but substandard. First Japanese vehicle I have ever bought. Heard so much about how good they are but wouldn't buy another

Never understood the point of leasing a vehicle, makes no sense. Making payments on something your gonna give back.

I do mine every 12 months. Sooner if I have it like a large pot hole really hard or something that I feel may have thrown it out.

Or maybe at least one of them is just overly pessimistic and hates everything and everyone including people that ask simple questions. Lol. Why hang out with a group of people that love what they have if you hate it? And by you i mean whoever. I am sure there is a prius forum around here somewhere for tacoma haters. Only thing to be mad at is the fact you leased it. Had you you bought it You could trade it in already and move to happier place my friend. Cheers.

I've probably hit EVERY FUCKING POT HOLE in Michigan. And slammed it pretty hard on the trails as well. No problems over here, but I do like to think every pot hole I hit is either misaligning or realigning my truck lol.

OP is mad because Toyota is going out of their way to fix known issues on his truck and he hits pot holes. Cool story.

“Leasing” is just a 7-letter work for “rent”. Purchase a truck new for cash, keep it ten years and invest money every month for your next one.

nada....maybe a license plate one day & BA bumpers
sorry, you are incorrect, no concerning tread wear here...
I change my tires yearly, & tire shop never suggest alignment or point out strange wear (I always ask anyways)
I drive 50k miles a year & I have never had tire cupping or uneven wear, otherwise I would have got an alignment
btw, I never rotate or balance my tires
    crazy huh?
