TRD Borla exhaust question

I just bought a used clean TRD exhaust off craigslist. When I met the guy it was a TRD Borla exhaust, not a TRD catback. I did research the TRD cat exhaust sound but I'm having trouble finding the TRD borla exhaust sound. In short does anyone have a sound clip for the TRD Borla exhaust? What year was the switch from Borla to Bosal? I find it odd that the guy dumped the TRD Borla exhaust b/c it was too loud but I think the Borla exhaust note on youtube is wimpy. Please help!!

 

Pretty sure TRD and Borla haven't teamed up to design an exhaust...

My TRD Exhaust muffler is stamped Bosal not Borla. Does your new exhaust bolt on to the flange? Was it a one-piece? Good Deal? Post some pics or a sound clip & congrats on new mod!

 

Borla makes an aftermarket Cat Back for our Tacomas. The TRD is a totally diff make. Both are pretty equall in sound. My bias opinion will of course side w/Borla.

 

The muffler looks like the one from the link. I got the system for $90 minus the tail pipe and tip. I will reuse the stock when I or Midas installs it. The seller bought it from the toyota dealership in Charlotte for around $600 (I believe him) in 06'. The seller didn't know what brand was on the exhaust tip. If both (TRD,Borla) are same in sound then i'm good. I just want a nice sound and not too loud when I have the kids.

The Southeastern Toyota dealers have some parts that you can only get here, and some parts that are available in the rest of the nation you can't get here. The Borla exhaust from the dealer is one of those options.
