Of course not, but you just saved two more who will also never be the same again in a good way!

Getting new family members isn't about replacing the lost ones. Nothing can do that. But instead it's about starting a new chapter. One that, though different in many ways, will ultimately be just as special

Our beloved Cladia was rescued at about 6 months old. By 4 years old she was gone. Devastating to us...especially my girls who were younger at the time. She was a special animal. She could never be replaced. We still hang her Christmas ornament on the tree every year. My girls, though older now, still visit her grave site. We still laugh and smile at pictures and videos of her all these years later.

And though we still miss her, we can't imagine life without these 2 knuckleheads. Very sweet ladies. Different than Claudia...yet just as special in their own unique ways.

Smokey went for the gold last week!
    He needed 2 surgeries
    1st- bladder stones
    2nd- emergency obstruction in intestines

Smokey had 3 stones, 21 hair ties, and 1 headband taken out of his body.

    $7,000 later.....

Yes I know it's pink but it was only $5 and Smokey doesn't know the difference.
This suit has been a life saver after surgery, no more cone head.

We had to put a dog harness...a DOG HARNESS...on Henry a few months ago to keep him from tearing out his stitches.

Agreed. I love my cats but a 7k hit would not go over well. I could not afford this multiple times. Maybe the stones can’t be prevented but the hair ties would be under lock and key and accounted for like knives in a prison kitchen.

Our Tabby, Juno, loves hair ties. Helena (black one) pays them zero attention. But with Juno, it's a constant battle. I warn my wife and daughters all the time....and they try to keep them secured. But she seems to locate them frequently no matter what.

I catch her trotting around the house, carrying them in her mouth. I've observed her and she doesn't appear to be interested in eating them, just batting them around. She especially loves to kick them under things then trying to retrieve them. It's always worried me though.

I showed my wife and daughters your picture and post. Hopefully they'll do a better job of keeping them put up.

Highly recommend a hair tie jar :)

Our Jean Luc knows where we keep the hair ties and rubber bands, but he's not allowed to play without them unsupervised. Claw pokes everywhere!

They keep them in a drawer in a plastic organizer. The problem is, if you let your gaurd down just for a second she'll get to it. Lord knows how many she's drug off and hid under things that we aren't aware of
