    Toyota offers better pricing through there than the parts counter. You can then have it delivered to the dealer and pick it up the next day when the truck shows up.

    I’ve done this a few times already and it’s definitely been the best deal on stuff.

    i checked at parts.toyota.com and they want $38 for this part vs. $62 at local dealer parts vs. $25 in AZ
    but there may or may not be shipping charge at AZ, it might be too odd long to qualify
    and I don't know if I really even need this part yet! I assume that I do from a visual peek at it

    I just enter the part number and flip through the results. Allot of Toyota stores are selling parts online and it gets quite competitive.

    perhaps I should put the blame on one of these local service depts and make them change this crap on their dime for making me have to go through this 'potential' repair
