What did you drive before Tacoma?

I drove many cars, but the vehicle I sold to buy my Tacoma was my super rare 2003 Audi RS6... I did a 6 speed manual swap on it (they only came in auto), and loads of other performance mods. AWD+600hp from a twin turbo V8 was amazing, and I still miss it...

 

1st 1994 Chevy z71 single cab short bed 5 speed manual transmission in 37s
2nd 2012 Chevy 2500 long bed double cab
2015 Chrysler 200
2011 Chevy 1500
2019 dodge 2500 double cab long bed had for 2 months and said fuck this then got my 2018 TRD off road with 7k miles for 33K cash out the door

Many vehicles, but the worst was a Ford Pinto way back in high school. It was my parents and I really hated the car. Tried to crash it, but was afraid it would blow up. Didn’t get laid until college.

 

The Taco replaces a BMW X1 that I gave to my son when he got out of the Navy...but other than that it’s all Porsche for me.

 

Ford Focus, it was a good one.

2004 I bought a 1974 jeep CJ-5 w/ AMC 304 v8, 3 speed manual, 4x4 I rebuilt it modified EVERYTHING!!! still have it

AMC 304 swapped for an AMC 360v8, full headers to 2.5" dual exhaust, edelbrokc performer intake, and 650CFM carb with offroad needle and seat kit, GM HEI conversion
trans swapped from the T-10 to a Ford T-18A 6.32:1 1st gear
t-case rebuilt
D44 lincoln locked, stock D30 front (rebuilt) 3.73 gears
PS conversion
100amp 1 wire alternator
Fiberglass body/fenders
new windshield frame/glass
rebuilt guages, and new custom dash

2006 I bought a 1994 honda passport 4x4 (isuzu rodeo) v6 - GF now wife drove it until the transmission started slipping so badly it was scary to drive... had a nasty lifter tick....

2008 I bought a 2007 mazda 6 sport for the GF, traded the honda passport ($500)...

2013 I bought a brand new mazda CX-5 AWD, my honda accord was getting old, and needed a AWD/4x4 vehicle to make it into work...

2018 the mazda 6 died lost compression in cylinder #2 (bent valve), I went searching... and as the bread winner I wanted a newer vehicle for myself, and found my 2016 DCSB OR in inferno orange... wifey gladly inherited "blue" CX-5...

Before my 19 Pro I had a 17 Porsche Macan S. Miss it for the performance and handling but not for the lack of utility that I now need.

When I feel the urge to go fast around the twistys my 911 fills that void.

 

Is that a turbo or the Porsche equivalent of the sport hood on the back of that SC?

 

It’s a factory whale tail. 1989 3.2 Carrera with Sport package. Includes front and rear spoilers. Have some rennline goodies, momo heritage prototipo, BB exhaust, Steve wong chip and 930 turbo front brakes.

This is the last car I built almost 20yrs ago. I absolutely loved this car!! All the wrenching done by yours truly. This car handled like it was on rails and it stopped on a dime!!

Custom made exhaust with cat removed

Suspension-
Tein- drift spec coilover suspension
Cusco- front, rear, upper and lower braces, tie rod ends and control arms
Brembo- drilled rotors and pads
DIY frame and rear subframe welding for added rigidity!
And spent a few hours fine tuning the suspension on the alignment rack.
