    Its the company truck
Realistically though if I bought new it would be something already basically built to do what ever I might do in it.

If I have a need for a big truck, ill want good gas mileage. Tundra is out unless the upcoming generation gets an ecoboost competitor.

If I pushed it they'd sell more, but I don't. I have hard enough time keeping up with 4runner's, Tacoma's, FJ's, and soon Tundra's.

I wont buy aftermarket filters ever again after having a wix filter come loose and leak real bad 3k miles after I put it on. Toyota uses a rubber o ring, everyone else uses a flat plastic-ish gasket. I think the orings can take the the expansion and contraction from the heat better without loosening up the filter.

I'm pretty sure my Mobil1 filters had a rubber gasket...I don't remember checking very carefully though. I just look to make sure the old one doesn't get stuck on cause I hear horror stories of that happening.

I only use Pennzoil high mileage full synth so figured maybe I'd get the filter with it too since it's all pretty cheap on Amazon...but I have a couple more Toyota filters waiting to go on so I'll probably wait awhile. I just hadn't ever seen a Pennzoil oil filter for sale in any store before, unless I just completely overlooked them

Theyre probably made by fram. All the lesser known filters are. Stp, microguard, super tech, valvoline etc.

I don't wanna start a big oil debate lol there are so many on TW already. Pennzoil nowadays is not the Pennzoil of the past, from what I've read anyway. I've only used it exclusively for the past couple of years and no issues for me. It does use more detergents than some other brands from Ive read but that's fine with me, between the supercharger and the dusty conditions I frequently see I figure it can't hurt.

I steer clear of pennzoil/quaker state just as my father did due to the paraffin wax issues. I dont care if the problems fixed, they ruined how many thousands of engines, why are people still giving them money? Im a castrol guy. GTX ultra clean conventional.

I was about to say I won't use Castrol haha (just stuff I've heard, there was a thread on here someone went to use a 5qt jug of it and it was completely white). Probably a fluke but stuff like that always influences people's choices. It's all just personal preference

Oil debates on TW are like the religious/political debates we're not allowed to have

I tried finding the thread but nothing's coming up. I do remember he bought it from Wally World too so that alone could explain it, someone may have returned it and filled it with some shit as a prank who knows
