    @Rider4 that would be sweet, could always use a wheelin’ Buddy! Does anyone have 4.88’s with stock everything? I am curious on the mpg improvement. I know there is one but I want the numbers!

    Gears are in! Truck drives good and holds 6th pretty consistently

    It’s something to get used to. I only have 18 miles on them, but they are quiet and keep it in the rpm band better so I don’t have to try so hard to maintain speed. Sitting at 2k rpms doing 65-70mph.

    There was some weird TC stuff happening at first if I barely push the pedal, but I think that was because they reset the battery (short term learning)

    I’m very much anxious for the 4.88 tune coming from OVtune because I’m confident it will be just right after that

    Worth it? Seems to drive better I think so.
    Will see tomorrow when I pull my pontoon boat

    Love it. I keep it waxed so it won’t fade.

    If you get one buy an second bottle of seam seal and seal it off the truck, let it dry 3-4hrs and then seal it again when on the truck, but from the inside. Mine is completely waterproof now

    This is a hard question when you look at location. My shop charges $149 an hour, We also live in a place where the nearest 4wd shop is 80+ miles away. With all the local trails with in 10 miles of us as well.

    This would be an install reusing your old bearings (it is figures crossed situation.) For the $500 in install kits is the way to go. I would think most shops would at least be 2k in labor front/rear. Just did my own and the front clamshell was around 10 hours worth on my first try no new carrier aka locker which would have sped up the process.

    TruTrac rear as well.. Couldnt be happier so far, If I did it all over again I may have done a TruTrac front as well. Drives great on road with no BANG,BANG,BANG of your full lockers or lunchbox **NO THAT ISN'T MY PATTERN.. we had cleaned off the ring before installing.

    Pretty darn good. Will be even better with the 4.88 tune OVtune will be releasing soon.

    What was amazing is how much I used 6th gear!

    Also, going up the same hill to my house it would kick down into 4th 99% of the time before the gears.

    While towing my boat up that hill it stayed in 5th with plenty of power.

    I’m happy so far

    I saw in an earlier post that you got the gears REM polished, Is the point of REM to make the break in period easier/not having to replace the gear oil 500 miles?

    REM is many more benefits that just break-in. Tons of great articles on the google to read up on.

    Yah, technically no break-in needed as everything is already polished through a tumbling process. Still going to change oil at 1000 miles though

    I just got done breaking in my gears that i replaced 3 weeks ago. I didnt bother with the REM polish. I mean it has good benefits but you'll have to pay extra on top of an already expensive project. If you're willing to spend the extra time to break in the gears slowly and change the gear oil (which you will have to anyways even with REM). Then I would suggest you should save your money and skip the REM polish.

    The gentleman at ECGS talked me out of the REM polishing. My truck goes in next week for ECGS 4:88s thirds with ARB up front. :D
    I'm looking forward to the OV 2.0 release. I'm running stock tires for now. Truck is a 19Auto DCLB Off Road Premium...
