Just an FYI, that message is like a generic bullshit message that comes up for lots of different things. You might want to see if there are any saved codes via techstream to see what actually happened.

I've had that message come up for lots of different things, none related to braking. Chances are clearing via the battery just got rid of the condition not necessarily the problem if there is one.

It doesn’t matter if you’re just momentarily disconnecting the power circuit

The brake override malfunction usually has a DTC behind it stored in the ECU. P2119 specifically. Throttle valve actuator control throttle body range/performance. Basically means that the throttle valve is not in the position that the ECU expects it to be in. Usually means TPS or TPPS (throttle pedal position sensor).
This fly-by-wire stuff is a bit weird. I assume you had a CEL code stored but was cleared?
Are you tuned or just pedal commander?

Yeah you should probably throw your phone into a lake and go back to using smoke signals to tell your wife you’re on your way home

2nd gen forum just a click away...
I gotta say that I was forced to move from a gen 1 to a gen 3 when I let Pops borrow my truck. He got rear-ended by a flatbed towtruck and my baby was totalled (2003 AC MT). Dad was fine and that's a good testimonial and really all that matters.
As a "retired" Toyota mechanic, I was shocked at what I saw under the hood. But soon realized that technology IS cool and had to do some studying. Atkinson cycle, direct and port injection, forged crank and rods, VVT and acoustic valve timing, etc. And I don't have to throw timing belts on it every 75k!
But what doors have opened! OVtune takes this platform to new levels and should be the first mod anyone does to a 3rd gen. So, embrace technology cuz it ain't gonna stop bud. I love my 2019 but still dearly miss my 2003 crank windows and all. I just don't see any value added by your comment in this thread and encourage you to stay in your lane. At least StunGun provides levity!!

The torque monster 2nd Gen (ironically ft lbs same as 3rd) owners never seem to mind working on them.

It matters if your wrench touches anything metal while you're taking the positive terminal off.

Hey guys I was just out camping and I have a new dometic cooler that I have plugged jnto my bed outlet. I assumed that the outlet switch had a safety switch inline so when the battery got low the switch would just shut off but I was wrong. My battery died overnight and I had to jump it. I currently don't have the pedal commander, I don't know if maybe it had to do with the way the cables were connected or what but I got the exact same errors as the originator of this post including anti collision error. Disconnecting the battery worked for me as well. I did disconnect the - first then + . So for the replies above saying the pedal commander is the problem I disagree. I think it's something to do with the jump but I have no idea what.
