They won't stop growing. It's crazy. You'd think I feed them some type of growth formula or something!

Ah cool. I have a beach house across the river from Lejune and we see them flying around all the time. Last trip there we saw some guys fast roping out of them into the marsh areas.

A mechanic buddy of mine his step son is an Engineer for GE aircraft engines, specifically the ones in one of the helis in the military (don't know which one). Pretty sweet job gets flown all over to train guys how to work on them and troubleshoot etc.

I saw several of those fly over Destin going between Pensacola NAS and Eglin while we were down there. Watching VTOLs take off is so cool!

Working FOR, but not IN, the military is the way to do it.

I used to live in Snead’s Ferry, where’s your beach house, Top Sail?

I love that area! NAS Pensacola is a special place to every Naval Aviator. In my opinion, the Naval Aviation museum there is the best aviation museum in the country. If you haven’t been it’s worth a day trip, especially on Tuesdays when the Blues are in town. They go through their whole show right behind the museum.

Sneads Ferrry  We are right at New River Marina. Small world! My place has been in the family since the 60s man has it grown up there. Not many people know about Snead's unless you're a marine or local.

Yeah, we were there for 6 months so we rented this awesome place right on the water. It was like a 4 bedroom 3 level condo right on the water. We were looking at the backside of TopSail. The only thing between us and the water was the pool, and the community docks.

Funny thing about that place, the day before we moved out a tropical storm came through and tore up the roof. It leaked like crazy and really messed up the inside of that place. I felt bad, but literally left the next day.

Yeah it's gotten crazy expensive on Topsail now. 1/4 acre lot on the sound side went for 1.2 mil. We are right on the water on the corner of the sound and Chadwick Bay. I take the yak out and go across the ICW to the marsh and fish and paddle around. Sad thing is I think that it may end up getting sold eventually. My only hope is I can afford to buy it when my mom decides it's time to sell.

I've been to the Naval Museum, but its been a while. I wouldn't mind going back sometime. I knew the Blue Angels were at Pensacola, but didn't know they practiced on Tuesdays, I'll keep that in mind next time we're on vacation down there!

That is crazy! I was there back in 2010. It was still relatively affordable at that time.

My old place was across the bay from you. I lived in Bayshore Marina. 305 E Bay Dr.

Ironically I met a couple visiting Paris Island who said they lived in Snead’s Ferry. Turned out they lived in the same place I used to rent. It is a crazy small world!
