Does anyone know about how much it will cost me to rebuild a set of Icon 2.5' fronts and 2.0 rears with resis? I'm debating on whether I should rebuild them or sell them as is. I would do the work myself just unsure how much i would be in with parts oil and nitrogen

Down South Motorsports did mine for approx $150 per 2.5" shock and $65 per 2.0" shock. It cost me an additional $80 in shipping though.

I'm planning on doing it myself though, so I'm assuming I'll save significantly over that I'm only seeing like $30 for seals for the fronts and $12 for the rears... Maybe nitro will only be $10 each?

The numbers up front seem logical but there are many things to consider for shock rebuilds. There are proper tools/equipment/knowledge required to do the job that are not worth the investment if you're only planning on doing your personal shocks 1 or 2x.

The post above give you an idea of parts required but do you have a spring compressor? Nitrogen? Second vehicle to drive shocks around town off your truck, etc.

Oil itself is $65 per gallon.

These are my second set of shocks, I just picked them up. I've rebuilt several sets of motorcycle shocks so I'm not worried about the technical aspect. I appreciate the input @Biship2Queens6 i think I'm going to order some parts today this should be a fun project. I notice a lot of folks when the rebuilt they don't bother touching up the exterior of the shock bodies or resis... I don't understand that part, I'm planning to polish these up pretty good.

Another thing I'll probably do is swap out the springs. What # springs should I run with an aluminum front bumper, winch, and dual battery up front?

Anyone selling a set of springs?

Well best of luck! It's not rocket science to tear a shock down but there are definitely some tricks. If you need help swapping springs let me know.

Selling springs for which set of shocks? The ones you're going to sell or run on your truck?

I've got billi 5100s and OME 885s on the truck now, I want to throw a heavier spring on these icons, they have 600s right now I think i'm going to go with 650 for the additional weight I have up front.

    I'm very confused now...

Are you sure they are 600#? Most Icons that I'm aware of come with 13"x650.

If i rebuilt them, I'm going to keep them. If they're too much hassle to rebuild I'll just sell them as is.

I though they were 600s but i could be wrong, either way they have seen enough miles, I'm gunna swap them out regardless if I rebuild.

Anyone in San Diego looking to sell (or rent out) a hi jack lift? Hoping to install rear shocks this weekend! Also interested if anyone is selling a slider adapter for the jack.

I would HIGHLY not recommend using a HiLift jack to put on shocks.

Just get your hands on a floor jack and jack stands.
