Yeah my crazy ass paddled all the way to the big bridge with a tail wind then back with a head wind. I know those waters like the back of my hand. Been on them since before I could walk. Gramps was a hell of a fisherman and he spent a lot of time teaching me the waters. I love that place. The Shrimp Festival is fun!

Yeah, I’ve done some CFI work. You’ve gotta plan on about $5-7k. Having done my fair share of instructing I’d suggest saving up and go for it. The other thing is when you do it try to fly 3-4 days per week. You’ll finish in about 2-3 months.

I’ve seen so many people fly 2-3 times per month, drag it out for 6 months to a year and then quit. The faster you go the more likely you’ll finish, and it’ll cost less.

If you average 4-5 days a week you’ll finish close to the minimum of 40 hours. Other guys end up at 65-100 hours

The shrimp festival is fun, although my dumb butt thought soft shelled crabs sounded good. :frusty::frusty::frusty::facepalm::facepalm:

My wife just used a guy at Lost Sailor in Anderson who has a pretty impressive resume, but she got a pretty simple tat done. My gal in Florida was awesome. She did all of my work in trade for computer work. Haha. You need to find an artist who drives a Tacoma and needs armor.

It is VERY busy! Scouts began arriving Thursday. Charleston WV airport is also a collection area. Unhosted international Scouts that arrived early are being shuttled to a local camping area- then shuttled back to Charlotte for the actual bus ride to WV. There are sooo many buses- no private owned vehicles are permitted. You can not “drop off your kid” at the camp...

***Roughly corresponding with Apollo 11 50th Anniversary, they are supposed to have a direct video/sound feed with the International Space Station!

I am hosting 2 French Scouts for several days after the Jamboree. They flew into NY City for a few days first.
