LOL. Currently I have the stock Toyota battery, but I’ll be putting in the same brand @Shellshock has in a month or so and I’ve been debating on figuring out a block heater to put in. Not that I’ve needed it to get my truck running but it would be nice to have.

EDIT: god damn it stop answering questions for me quicker than I can

If you go in the middle of winter to Lake of the Woods you can just drive across to the angle. :D

Midwest Winters made removal of my 2010 upper shock nuts a real bear. They were hot to the touch after full removal due to the rust and material removed with the nut. But I got both front coilovers installed today. It was hot in the garage. Here is a picture of the new 3rd gen coilovers from @ajmogen next to my 100k mile 2nd gen stockers. Look at that rust.

2nd picture is completed install after a quick wash. I'm diggin' it.

Thanks again @Shellshock for TW Express.

mine are +22yrs old :crapstorm: but still kicking along near excellent on these awful NE/western IA roads

I went airborne today outside of council bluffs and landed with back end slanted out a tad... I really should test drive a 3rd gen TRDpro and see if I can get it to do the same at the posted speed limit

the Iowa DOT is getting a hazard call from me on Monday, sick of that 30+ year old pavement they got going on there by the river
good way to test my old suspension out, though :drunk:

You guys are making me worried for my truck here haha. I am more than willing to take it on some rough roads and trails but all this rust talk is worrying me.

Any recommendations on stuff needed to do to prepare truck for a Midwest winter after spending its whole life in Texas?
