    It may just be friction of the needle and its gearing. Try tapping on the outside of the dial with your finger ala tap..tap..tap to see if the needle will settle.

    Vac it down again, the add enough freon to get static pressure to ~50#. Get a spray bottle with water and dish soap, soak all connection and look for bubbles.
    It is possible that the compressor shaft seal is losing the vacuum. That seal is designed to hold pressure, not a vacuum for extended periods.

    Fun times.... Not! Found my leak at the TVX. Engine side. Pulled the tubes off and replaced the seals and reassembled.

    Its pumped down again... Let's see what happens.

    It's fixed! Turns out, in my haste, i swapped the large seals on the expansion valve. New seals, back together, tested, and it's nice and chill in here now.
    This temp is from the far right dash vent. I couldn't be happier!
