So far(and I haven't worked since I bought truck so it will get better with highway miles) I am right now 1mpg less than the tacoma...ill take that all day for the power and how much more relaxing it is to drive, I don't have to rev the piss out of it just to merge with traffic and the constant kicking down of the tacoma on highway, pulling 3500-4000 rpms....yea worth 1mpg to me

So far I'm getting 355 miles out of about 20.5 /21 gallons(yea I got the small tank) once I go back to work and travel 45mi one way highway I expect it to go up some.

Dang, that's more than I normally get in my taco... I'm not sure I've ever even got that much, normally the MOST I'll get is about 320 out of a tank..

    What's your driving style like?

That was in far north Michigan. Sault Ste. Marie to be exact. About as far north as you can get and still be in continental US.

Congrats! I’ve always loved the Double Cab Tundra, almost ended up with a used one in High School but ended up with a brand new 2013 F150. The Tundy was the used and the same price as the 150, but after 6 years and $6000 in repair costs on that truck I wished I’d gone for the Tundra. Regardless, hold on to that truck! It’s the last of a dying bread, a badass old school truck that will last forever. No cylinder deactivation start stop turbo blah blah blah.

My thoughts exactly!! Lol taco will be getting modded to the nines.. Tundra will be a stocker! Also in the same boat but battling myself over 4runner vs FJ as the FJ is my favourite vehicle but I love 4 doors and the extra space of the 4runner
Dream driveway is a Toyota driveway.
    Tacoma
    FJ/ 4Runner
    Tundra
    FRS(2jz swap)

When I had my tacoma, I hit 6k every day at one point or another. Now with the tundra granted I have been easy on it being new but don't feel the need to rev it out as far due to having torque, but once I get my powersticks duals put on I know ill rev it out more.

Probably realistically 14 city, with torque or no need to rev very much, if I'm running around in town unless I'm doing it on purposes(to keep someone beside/behind me) I never have it rev over 2-2500 just no real need. Oh and I drove my tacoma every time with ECT PWR turned on.

Couldn't help but notice, "Close to The Bone", hmm wonder what they mean...

It'll be interesting to see the more you drive it what kinda miles you get out of a tank.

If I had to choose between FJ and 4Runner I'd choose the FJ. They're really rare where I live though.

NM is New Mexico, but I only recently moved here. I’m a transplanted northerner...
