The hood scoops on the Sport model as you well know are for looks only they really don’t channel air to the engine. I have seen more Than a few guys use light bars within but I have one mounted behind the grill and really don’t need additional lighting.

Since one of our callings is Distillery Equipment I wanted something to go along with that line. I have one of the DB Customz grills with TACOMA white lighted and wanted to match that.

Had a friend CNC a stainless steel plate with, “BURNIN SHINE”. Although you could make a plate say anything that you wish.

Ordered a piece of 1/4” acrylic from Tap Plastic, they call it 60% white P95 Matte Finish. Used a bit of double sided tape and sandwiched he plastic behind the cutout plate with e gloss side facing the cut out letters.

I then got some inexpensive 12 volt LED strip lights and wrapped the entire perimeter of the plastic securing the LEDs to the plastic with adhesive.

Here is what the panel looks like when power is applied. This entire piece is made that it will fit within the hood scoop once finished. Going to be interesting with the already lighted grill.1A25DFA0-E8BA-4BB0-824E-FC202AD11115.jpg

I would have it say "Move Over", but reversed so you can see it in your mirror.... then never use it because im not a ass that needs to speed 20 over the limit.

I think it turned out pretty good here’s a final picture.

Hard to believe all the light is coming from the DRLs and the halo’s installed in the fogs. There are no headlights or fog lights on in this picture.
