It is a great fail safe for frozen food if a child, dog, un knowing human unplugs it and plugs it back in without you knowing. Otherwise yes I am not a fan either, on this last trip to the NWOR I was using my wife's Tundra that did not have a always on 12volt receptacle. So after every restart of the truck I would run back to the slide and turn the fridge up before driving so I did not freeze my drinks. Once we got there it was moved to a dedicated battery for the rest of the show and was a non issue.

    Ordered Thursday afternoon, delivered today.

The fridge is currently plugged in and chilling in the living room. Went from 75 to 35 in 20 minutes with a prechilled bottle of margarita in it.

I was trying to figure out what these are for tonight too. I agree that carrying it by the handles is a better way to go and all the tie downs I've see attach to the handles. Plus, I don't think those eyelets in the cover would last very long with the weight of a loaded fridge bouncing around off road.

My only thought is that they were intended to be used to attach things to the cover.

What jump box are you using?

What temp are you using after you plug it in and turn it back up for normal fridge usage?

I typically set mine to 37 degrees. We use the jump carry 660. You can run it off a noco but the noco wants to shut off sometimes.

Before I hard wired a 12V receptacle to the bed, I used a Goal Zero Yeti 400 and it still had over 50% charge left after 3 days camping...........if that helps

Does the fridge slide lock when fully extended? Also what’s the width of the slide?

there is a rubber grommet right behind or next to the brake master. Pulled it out and but a x slit to pass a few wires into the cab.
