Referring to the Chitown 4x4 group that has a few members going.

 

I know! I plan on spending a 3 day weekend in the Lakewood/Laona district in September.

I've spent plenty of time in the Florence county area, Medford, Clam Lake, etc.

I'm hoping to spend next Friday evening and Saturday exploring the pipeline again, if anyone's interested.

I was just telling my Significant Other this the other day. Over the last 5 years or so, I've spent more time west of 100 degrees longitude than I have north of 45 Lat.

 

I spend a lot of time on the Chippewa River just upstream from Durand. I'm hoping to get on the St Croix river sometime this year, but I'm running out of weekends and they're booking up fast.

 

I was just up in Iron Mountain 2 weeks ago. I'm not opposed to going up north.

 

Meridean. I put the kayak in there a lot.

We have the place with the tiki bar about a mile downstream.

If you ever see a green kayak with fishing rods, stop and say hi!

The first time I came up there we put the air-boat in at Dunnville. I want to check out more of the Red Cedar, but we tend to run upstream and work our way down.

 

It looks like this case is going to be just perfect! Now I can keep the Hi-lift on the roof but protected from the weather.

that US2 from Superior to the Michigan border was a nice smooth peaceful drive on Monday, it looked much different in the summer than the dead of winter (last time I was on that road)

 

Shout out to all the EAF bros with hi lifts on display, yet without bumpers or sliders to actually hook up to for use...

 

Speaking of bumpers, my rear steel bumper from ATH Fab arrives today

I'm having it thermoplastic coated, which apparently is material that's used on snow plow blades for protection- should be the best bet against corrosion here in WI. Definitely interested to see how it lasts compared to regular powder

 

Some wind, a lot of rain here (Eau Claire). Actually nice and cool right now. Humidity plummeted. Relaxing outside with a beverage.

 

The front rolled through here earlier today and the temperature instantly dropped 20 degrees and the humidity is gone. It’s currently <80 outside

Nice! That's a bit far for me to travel for trout but I was up that way a few weeks ago chasing musky and smallies on the fly.
