I’ve tried everyone I have, with all my cords, nothing works. I’m starting to think my MPVI2 took a dump.

    My shit is all stock.
Anyone else playing with this will hopefully be helped out here.

The equation given for both the aforementioned gauges are very similar:

    (V*9)-15 for the PLX

    (10*V)-16 for the AEM 30-4900

(InputV/X)+Y is what VCM scanner wants

The solution for the PLX is (V/.1111)-15 in VCM Scanner speak. Same math, just bassackwards from the gauges' literature.

Therefore the solution for the AEM is: (InputV/.1000)-16. Example: 2.5V input divided by .1 is 25. 25 minus 16 is 9. So, 2.5V from this gauge is 9psi of boost.

I was sort of thinking it about it backwards originally.

    Hope this helps someone.

Curious for anyone in here who has looked at the files between NA and TRD tunes, is there anything in there to suggest why the NA tune needs copper plugs but the TRD uses iridium? I am thinking about switching back to coppers but want to make sure it’s not going to throw my tune off.

I believe the iridiums were selected for the blower because they last longer. Pulling that blower every 20k or so to change plugs does not sound like fun.

If that’s the only reason I may try going to coppers if all my swivels can ninja their way through the drivers side.

Yup non standard plugs with the blower are simply due to essentially needing to pull the whole blower for driver side plug changes unless you get very crafty with extensions etc

Alright, so I did finally pull the trigger on getting the MPVI2. Yea! But, since @JustDSM is still out, getting a good baseline tune for a stock 4.0 is a bit tougher. I am still trying to get someone to work with me to get that tune of his, for an early 2nd gen 4.0 (2009 for me, but 05-11 I think are all the same, after that some tuning differences show up, as I recall).

If someone can help, it would be appreciated, and I will make it right with justdsm once he gets back in the swing of things. PM me if you could help.

I actually dont think there were any differences with timing / fueling in all years of the 2nd gen taco stock tune. The only difference really seen was the introduction of SAI (secondary air injection for emissions) on 12+ v6's and subsequent fields in those CAL's and a softer throttle pedal mapping on the later model years. Ill shoot you a PM and we can discuss.

Thanks appreciate it. It's the throttle mapping that I recall, and I wasn't sure if that led to a separate stock-ish tuning file.

Post #429 has throttle mapping tune from JustDSM. Feels great. Try that for starters.

YUP really wakes the truck up, and will help with hunting / holding gears a bit because the truck is being given more actual throttle for the same pedal %... and pedal % is whats used for shift points etc.

Part it with my auto trans changes.... mmmm so good.

Can you remind us what you arrived at as well for ACIS settings tweaks?

OH YES, forgot about those haha.

I moved the "High TPS" down to 40* from 60* so ACIS gets activated sooner, and then moved the low to mid RPM boundary from 2200 to 2000 rpms.

I gotta look at some logs of mine and reference some stuff, but essentially im shooting for acis to not be active when cruising at 65+ under normal conditions, but have it come on to create more power/torque in 5th gear lockup when you roll into the throttle without having it pop out of lockup or downshift to 4th. Looking quickly I might move that low to mid rpm boundary down to 1850 rpms as that would be right around 63mph in 5th lockup. Again I need to take the time to look at the logs i have taken of some longer distance crusing. But for now the bolded above.

From my logging of the two different states, rpms below 4100 (including very low rpms between idle and 2k) showed increases of airflow at the maf when ACIS was active.

I just bought a TRD supercharger and I am wondering if I should buy this. I understand there is a repository with tunes for HP tuner. Do they have the TRD supercharger tunes in the repository? If so, will I be able to upload this tune? Or do I need to already have the TRD supercharger tune programmed by the dealer?

Looking at pulling the trigger on buying this, if it will program the TRD tune. Thanks.
