So. Not sure that this has been said but these do NOT fit if you have already added the Total Chaos Cam Tab gussets. You would have to grind the inside down to almost nothing in order for them to work with each other. Unfortunately it needs to be a different cut file in order to make them work. Great product and I am modifying to fit but is not for the faint of heart.

FYI, had to trim the BAMF LCA skids. They were binding up at full droop. Still glad I did this mod; no regrets notching skids.

Most definitely, was wheeling around a lake 2 weeks ago. Drove over and around anything I wanted with no fear about the dam cam tabs bending again.

Same here. I heard a loud pop then bang. My rci LCA skids we’re running so hard into the kit a full droop that it gouged the marlin kit and snapped the head off one of my carriage bolts!!! That’s when I knew they had to have notches in them.

Not at the moment, I was pre occupied at the time trying to figure out what was wrong. I’m changing the T-case and diff fluids today. I’ll snap a pic. You’ll see where it’s pretty evident in the interference

Just found this thread and THIS IS PERFECT! After seeing the issues my friend had with his 05 cam tabs then TC cam tabs mod too, and now seeing that my tabs are beginning to flatten out, these are 100% on the to-do list in the very near future. Of course it has the added benefit of providing even greater structural strength to the LCA mount area too, which I thought looked kind of weak.

Looks like a great design to provide additional strength on multiple planes. Definitely looking forward to installing these!

Sorry for the late reply @Nimble9, but here u go. You can see across the cutouts where the gouges transfer to the marlin kit. The blurry pic is from the passenger side and the clearer pic is driver side. Fortunately for the RCi skids, I only had to notch the back sides of each one. Not as much as the BAMf skids but I Still need to open up the driver side a bit, slapped it back on after test fitting then forgot.

Appreciate it!! I’ll be buying these soon enough. I’m limited in my alignment numbers because my tabs keep bending haha

The tabs will bend even with stock wheels. What was Toyota thinking when they engineered our front suspension?

In the description of this brace kit, as well as the product video, it states that it can be used on top of existing cam tab gussets but that more work may be required to fit it properly. Someone mentioned on the last page that it was a royal PITA to do so. I Did not have any existing cam tab gussets on mine.

They do NOT work with them straight out of the box. Big Mike messaged me asking for pics and stuff but haven’t heard back from him on that. You have to cut a large part of the piece that is supposed to protect what you already beefed up with the total chaos tabs. So it works. Just not a plug and play. (Requires slight modification)
