Maintenance day. Oil change and PCV valve, grommet and tube replacement. Luckily the seal only cracked once instead of crumbling and didn’t fall in. Also the tube was pretty dry-rotted so glad I got a replacement.

Got my hands on a Rav4 Airbag for my IS300 wheel. Gonna drop it off at a shoe repair shop to see if they can repair the cracked leather. Sounded like they could when I talked to them over the phone so here's hoping. IMG_20190720_112018183.jpg

Cleaning things up and getting ready to reinstall one of the valve covers. I broke the lip off one of the small half moons and am waiting for the replacement to arrive on Monday. Also waiting for the injectors to come back which could be a couple weeks still.

Re-wrapped the wiring loom for the injectors in Tesa tape.

Installed the new spark plug seals in the valve cover and put the new gasket in place.

Sold my 2nd Feb Tacoma almost 3 years ago. And now I'm back but with the best gen. Found this locally, new frame and many new parts. Let the mods begin!

Parts I was waiting for arrived early (not the injectors tho) so I was able to get the passenger valve cover installed. Also got the first piece of the oil filter relocation puzzle. I also realized that I think I installed the driver side spark plug gaskets the wrong way, aka backwards. Since it's already installed, I'm not messing with it. I think it will still seal fine tho.

I also replaced the oil filler cap rubber gasket and the idle air control valve gasket on the TB.

Been part of this forum for years but never posted in this thread. I rolled my truck in Big Bear on black ice in February. Two weeks ago I had a wrench-a-thon at my house to replace the inner and outer tie rods, LCAs and LBJs.

I also installed new passenger windows since both of them shattered.

    Truck is driving straight again.

Looking to replace the front springs. I have 5100 all around, add a leaf in the rear and third setting up front with “stock type” springs. They were on a set of Monroes, so not sure what they were. The truck sits pretty level, look to achieve the same ride height, just with better springs and perhaps not sitting on the top setting. Not looking to add any weight to the front (bumper or plow), and I’m not a hardcore off reader. Any advice would be appreciated.
