Hilux Revealed

A buddy sent me this pic because it's the same truck as mine.

Actually a Hilux as was pointed out to me in the following threads.

 

When they finally assembled it, it was in fact a Hilux.

He downloaded it from somewhere. It looks like a display at Toyota assembly plant.

I edited the title to Hilux.

 

Was just going to say this, almost identical body style.

 

I had a 1974 Hilux, bought it in 1981

 

I'm thinking the 5th gen will be a Hilux, or much more Hilux like, than the 3rd gen(good or bad) the current Tacoma is an old design. I know the next Tundra, and Tacoma are going to share the same platform. Why wouldn't that platform be shared with the Hilux?

 

I puled up to a real New Hilux Yesterday , it was from Mexico haha

 

If heard that as well but I can't get my head around how they plan to use the same platform for a full size truck and a mid size truck?

 

I like the 3rd gen better, bu the Hilux's lines are much more proportionate to it's size. The Tacoma is trying to look like a GM twin.
