I ordered a Prusa Mk3s this morning. They have free shipping right now (saves $50) until July 5th I believe. Also, Discover has 5% cash back through Paypal right now.

Started out looking at an Ender 3 and then upgrading but you know how that goes...

I got into 3d printing here fairly recently. Bought an Ender 3 pro on a whim and here we are.

First Print, followed by a few of the (many) others.

This mornings fuckup. Turns out I was printing at too low of a temp for this brand of PLA so it wasn't extruding well. No blockage in the nozzle or anything fortunately.

I just got a nice benefit. We are required to take a certain amount of online training courses every quarter. They are paid for and we can do it on company time from home. They just switched to a better provider with many more courses with great presenters and they have a bunch on Fusion 360. They don't care what we take as long as we do the hours.

Hey boss, I'm going to need a couple of days to catch up on my training.

They are very useful when you quickly need to make a special knob or bracket.

Been intrigued by 3d printers for awhile now. Finally broke down and ordered one of the diy assembly kits. Should be interesting.

I have been printing for a while now, will eventually build a plasma table. Here's my thingiverse page to show a few.of the things I have ended up designing.

I see a lot of pretty cool projects on this thread gonna have to give some of them a shot

I have a small 3D printer at home but don’t use it as often as I should. I manage fab shops for a university so it feels a bit like taking home work to print at home. Plus I’m very spoiled at work. We have 16 printers, 2 techno cnc tables, 3 laser cutters, and 2 Kuka arms.

I’m a bit fan of rhino for modeling, plus with plug ins, it also works to run machines. It’s nice to modify models in the coding program.

Anet A8 Plus. All the reviews that I looked at were positive, and it sounds like it's a big upgrade from the normal A8. Good print size at 300x300x350, too. Only paid $250 after tax for the machine and a 1kg spool of black PLA.

There are a few upgrade parts on Thingiverse. A lot less than the A8 and other Anet models which I see as a good thing.

That's cool! You had to buy specialized software to do that not too long ago.

Just a simple little thing. A couple hours ago I wondered into the kitchen and it was getting invaded by undocumented ants. The battery sprayer for 1 gallon Spectrocide quit working so I poured some into a little pump sprayer.

It stopped them but I thought it would be nice to label it so it would be a known WARNING: This product can expose you to [name of chemical], which is known to the State of California to cause cancer. For more information.... well no, just it's a poison. I spent 5 minutes on the vinyl cutter to design and print this.

I love the simplicity of my vinyl cutter. Lets me do so many stupid little projects.

Like my Trek Stache that was decidedly clean shaven...so I added a stache to my Stache!
