I got him to take another grand off,
    That's about a 9.5%.
    I feel good about that.
And got that because of all you great guys posting here,(any girls around here?). Thank you very very much.
So I'm getting a new truck Monday if the creek doesn't rise. Gotta play golf and tend to the wife this weekend.
The way it turned out is it's gonna take about a grand to get where I wanted to be or would've been very pleased with. I don't want to waste another day or week tracking down my wants anymore. I'll use that time driving around in my new truck calling on new customers.
I've made a ton of phone calls, been to every lot around here over the past 2 months. I might have been able to get more for my trade but there are not a plethora of trucks with my wants in the area. And they know it.
I found a taco with 4 miles. I would prefer that then some new truck with 30 miles. And will pay an extra 500 for 4 miles then 30. I like to get the dusty one in the back lot on the roof.
I once overheard a salesman talk about how he thinks he might have jacked up a tranny by going over the red line on a new mustang. (this like 25 years ago before red line auto-shift up.
So thanks again for all the feedback and posters.

I don't know where that Costco price came from, it is incorrect, maybe an invoice price.

To get the Costco price you have to provide some information at https://www.costcoauto.com and they will reply with with the name of a dealership
and which sales person to talk to. Make an appointment and talk only the salesperson listed - others are not bound by the Costco agreement. The sales person will show you the prearranged price list for and quote the model in question. Also any add-ons have a discount price on the worksheet. Part of the agreement is that the dealership will not try to up-sell or push other options!

This is an outstanding way to purchase a vehicle. I would not have negotiated a deal that was as good on my own, in part because I considered I'm in a high demand location for Tacoma's.The Costco negotiated price is well below invoice.

    Hi.
Getting a quote of $27 and (possibly) $26,800 for a 2019 Crew Cab, SR, 4cyl Auto No Options. How does this price look?
    Thanks

About to pull the trigger on my first taco. 19 Off Road Quicksand DCSB with Tech package, All-Weather Mats, exhaust tip, and mudguards. MSRP 38,777. The price I have got them down to is 34,353+TTL. From what I can tell this is a good deal at $4,424 off what say the experts?

Do research on dealers in your area, neighboring states and such. I went to the Costco dealer in mY area and laughed when they showed me the Costco price. Knowing I could get better based on research, I pulled up a few similar trucks from out of state on my phone and asked how is the Costco price supposed to be a deal/benefit when I could get better elsewhere. They didn’t like that and gave me the “people can’t sell below invoice or could lose their dealership.” I ended up leaving because they said they couldn’t do it, but called me later in the day and beat the price. I still didn’t buy because they wouldn’t give me what I wanted on my trade in.

But, just look at TrueCar, other dealerships, because some provide better Epricing or Webpricing then what Costco pricing is.

Anyone getting a good deal on Pro's in their area? The I-5 corridor in Western Washington is flooded with Pro's that are just sitting around.

Looks like Toyota's last push of the 2019 Pro's have arrived.

2020's must be on the way soon.

I noticed the same thing. I'm not shopping for one but I'd bet the next few months are going to be a good time to deal on a 2019 Pro.

Seems high. When I was first shopping for a tacoma, I was going to try and get the cheapest truck I could, SR, 4cyl, 2x4, access cab, and the utility package (in white.) I think the one I was looking at only had all weather mats. and I was quoted 22.5k (which was through Costco) I would have snatched it but apparently it was at another dealer, and they claim to have sold it. *shrug*

I was just quoting what Costco’s site showed as the invoice for the truck as I hadn’t seen it elsewhere. Didn’t intend to imply it was the “Costco price.” A quick search online found that Costco is not really any better than true car.

    It's complicated.
USAA, Costco, AAA, all use True Car as their car buying service.

I found that the True Car price quotes were identical to the dealership internet prices already listed on their websites; there were no savings.

I paid right at 37. That included the factory tc, weather seal, underside sprayed, weather mats, bed mat, mud guards, predator steps, a free rental for 3 days and to have it brought to me from 250 miles away. Also included taxes and tags. What probably hurt me the most on the price was the number of trucks that were factory with what I wanted from the factory. I was told that there was only 3 trucks like I was asking for in Toyota's eastern sector. True or not, but I tend to believe that because it took me quite a while to find it.

I was offered a 19 Cement trd or dcsb for 31 but was not what I wanted

True car advertises that you get to see what people in your area paid. Nope. All that happened is they forwarded my contact info to some dealers who then started trying to contact me. I used my "spam" email account and didn't provide phone# so np.

Little update. They agreed to remove the price of the accessories at a price of $902. So price for the truck is $35,883 which is invoice as far as I can tell.

There is still a $1000 rebate or 1.9% financing on top of that. The best I could find locally is 3.69% for the same term so in that case the 1.9% ended up the better deal by a bit.

So 2019 TRD OR DCSB with tech package and a few accessories for $35,883 and 1.9% financing. Good deal?

I was given $34,883 as the price with rebate. Good thought though because that’s totally what they try to do.

Speaking of that, does the rebate get applied before or after vehicle sales tax is calculated out?
