Any one that has actually used the carista adapter and apps. Just wondering what you can actually do with it. Thanks

 

I bought it, used it to change to 6 blinks in the turn signals and shut off the passenger seatbelt chime. Canceled after that. $20 well spent.

 

Same here. It’s worth it IMO

 

You can't do as much as Techstream, but you can do more than what most dealers do for you. I used it to turn my lane change blinks from 3 to 5, and turned off the seatbelt chime.

 

I agree, but is that all you can do. What about changing the default following distance on cruise control?

 

I have it and same changed blinker blinks, seatbelt and some chimes. I don’t think it will allow you to make changes to cruise control distances and such.

 

What can you do with techstream?

 

Techstream is a dealer program, although I have seen others mention having it at home. Not sure on the details if there is subscription or whatever, but it will have anything that can be done to the truck in that program. I dont really know a lot about it myself, I just know it's what the dealers use.

 

You know you can hold the button in when setting the cruise and shut off the ACC?

 

Coffee? What about coffee? Can the app make a good cup of coffee?

 

You mean like the 1 to 3 length? That can be changed on the dash settings i thought.

 

It can, but it still defaults to 3 after you turn the engine off

 

That would be the Barista app.

 

Weird. I had mine set to 1 or 2 whwn i first bought it but I changed it back to 3 though for the wet season and just never looked at it again since i set it before i activate cruise control.

 

I did this and then got the OBD fusion app and use the Carista tool to moniter how the vehicles systems.

 

Which is a good default setting.

 

You can program new TPM's.

 

I know it won’t give you option to shut off door chime, which is something I’d literally pay $500 for. Save your money for Tactrix/TS subscription.

 

N2 Designs taught me that you can push the little black boot when you open the door and shut it off.

 

Who wants to stand there and hold it though?
