Good on ya! :woot: Quite a milestone there, especially with the trying times those 20 years covered.

Loving the JKU! I know the feeling of loosing confidence in a vehicle once something like a gear goes out. My mind instantly goes "what if it happens out of warranty", I would be livid.

My buddy just test drove a 2018 JKU and it really exceeded my expectations. It has me thinking of trading the wife's CRV in on one too.. Local dealer GM is a good buddy who I am sure would cut us a deal.

Same loud-ass fan noise I remember on my 1996 Jeep Cherokee. That thing screamed in the Louisiana heat.

Had some money saved for my EVO 2.5 lift and woke up to this garbage this morning.
Water line under the MB sink took a shit.
    Flooded my kitchen ceiling.

    Got 2 quotes yesterday.
One for an area that had a previous small leak where the washer drains from upstairs.
There was supposed to be money in my escrow put in 10 years ago when I purchased the house, but it's no where to be seen.

The other estimate was for the entire ceiling tore down and redone minus the popcorn.
    $1200.

My deductible is $1000 So I think this is going to be an out of pocket expense.

The good news is the drywall guy said drywall is pretty resilient and that if dried quick enough, it can be primered and painted. It's just a few stains.

I've got 4 fans pointed up at the ceiling and also the ceiling fan is on, reversed. He'll be back on Friday and well discuss which option is best. Not the end of the world but I'm pretty livid that it happened. Just glad I caught it when I did and walked to the kitchen 1st instead of just going out the front door for work where it would have leaked for about 13 hrs.

Hmmm... thankful for the quick discovery.

Big question is what happened to your escrow?

$1200 to have the entire ceiling redone is not too bad overall actually.

    Hopefully it all works out!
