It’s good it’s starting to knit together but dang that’s a serious break. You may have said but I don’t recall....how did this happen.

I think it was a cumulative thing.
We were in vacation on the northwest coast of Costa Rica. (Beautiful place)
Saturday evening she fell off a back of a golf cart driven by here little brother and bounced down the road. Bruises on the inside of both arms and on the outside of both hips.
Tuesday morning we went ATVing and she launched her ATV into the bush spectacularly and landed on her left shoulder and scratched up her boobies.
Tuesday afternoon she took the kids down the beach as was only meant to sit on the beach and watch the kids, however she goes snorkeling out way past the kids and got picked up by a really large roller coming in from the pacific and got dumped on her left shoulder and then got picked up again and driven into the seabed by a following large roller and that is when she broke her arm. At first we thought she had torn her rotator cuff. We flew out the next day (thanks to Southwest begin awesomely accommodating) and she was at the specialist the next day. Original X-ray only showed the large upper break. The one in the picture also shows a lower break. She is a trooper, however a little hard headed...

Have you've seen the most recent vids of Simba ??? , he's 97 days old and has set the record for an Eaglet staying in the nest . They're saying Simba is old enough and strong enough to fledge but he's not sure of his flying abilities . They also mentioned the Big Bear nest has yet to have a normal Fledge in years

Something about the nest location ,size of nest and the height of the tree

My gosh, talk about a string of unfortunate accidents. Glad she made it through without even more damage. Hope she mends up without surgery, we will be keeping our fingers crossed. :fingerscrossed:

I’ve been watching and I keep thinking maybe I missed it. He certainly seems ready but I thought maybe it was a mental block of some sort (do eagles do that :notsure:). I didn’t realize this had occurred before.

I must say I have really enjoyed watching the progression (minus Cookie’s passing of course :().

Hi Ken, it took her almost 12 weeks to start to heal. But if you already see bone healing, shouldn't take her near as long.

Afternoon Chance. Yeah, love watching him grow up.
