hey everyone, I’m trying to do an install of a set of JBA high caster upper control arms. They are mounted but while trying to tighten the lock nut through my spindle the nut is spinning the whole ball joint assemble. Anybody else have this issue? How do I combat this?

Jack up from under the lca, should seat the ucas bolt better. Tap on top of uca to seat it as well. Once in really good taper should hold it as you torque.

Jba ucas Are a little different than other ucas, was definitely worth a shot but it didn’t help much, do I take the ball joint cover off?

Hmm,, as I do t have jbls, just generic uca advice, try pulling out on spindle as your tightening, trying to bind stud in there.. got a pic of how far it's on there??

The bottom of the ball joint can be gripped with vice grips to keep it from spinning while you tighten the nut

The angle is nice so it shouldn’t have pulled the ball joint out but really nothing to tap on

First step, take the tire off so you have room to work

Say what now? If the tire is still mounted, remove it.

Then use channel locks on the bottom of the ball joint, and an open ended wrench to tighten it. I think it's 22mm.
