No kidding it was a horrible experience!!! We weren’t expecting to see her belly sliced open like that and we were consumed by the whole ordeal. After like the 3rd day she dropped a little turd that was about as big as the digit on my pinkie finger and we were elated to see everything was still working right. It was a tough time.

Hobbes has been spending these warm summer days napping under the dining room table. It's dark and cool with the AC vent right behind him blowing cool air up under the table. I expect I'll be able to knit another cat from the fur I vacuum off the chairs.

Totally agree. I’ll never forget when we brought our 1 year old cat in for what we thought would be a fairly routine UTI issue, get some meds and move on sort of visit. The vet did an X-ray and when he came back in the room and said you’ve got much bigger issues than a UTI we knew we were in trouble. It turned out he had a hole between his chest cavity and stomach area (something along those lines...my brain kind of shut down when he started to explain....thank goodness my wife was there) that shouldn’t have been there and his intestines had moved up into his chest cavity essentially squeezing out any necessary space for his heart and lungs. He ended up with the same sort of cut (chest to privates) and spent a week in the hospital. We would go by every night after work and visit him. We felt just awful seeing him like that. He made a full recovery and we had yearly xrays done to make sure everything stayed okay. He grew up to be a big happy boy and we enjoyed his company for another decade.

    RIP

I remember when Suki and you guys were going through this. Definitely was a tough time. I’m so glad she’s doing better

I’ll never forget that you were the one to always ask about how she was doing. You’ve always, along with others, been the guy to remember about a fellow tw member who’s in a time of needing support. I sure thank you all for that. Right now ( knock on wood) everything is good with our kids.

Wife named her Fiona, I call her Dirty Gert. She answers to both, if she feels like it. Older pic, she's 16 now.

Abigail passed away 10 months ago. Wife has wanted another cat for a while but she wasn't ready right away.

We went yesterday to the local Animal Shelter to look at a polydactyl cat (since our previous cat was polydactyl) that my wife found on their website. Well she didn't feel that he was "the one" but she saw another cat that was trying to get her attention.

Well he (Stormy) was bonded with his brother (?) Blue who was much more shy. He didn't move in his cage. They were only there for a day or two so I'm sure he was getting accustomed to the shelter, noises, and all the people.

They were named already but we might change them. Not sure yet.

    1-year old boys

    Blue (Bottom)
    Stormy (Top)
