I am not convinced of the Fox route. That rebuild cost after such few KM, and initial cost o_O

More thinking along the lines of Bilstein B8 5160's. Probably do the rear 1st. Since from my inspections with the FLIR, and feed back I am getting from driving is telling me the back end needs better dampening, with more cooling for the shocks.

Right now the front end feels pretty good, Bilstein 5100's at the 0 setting combined with OME 886's for the weight of the bumper.

you say they are good, but after 60k km they are shot.....Have almost 100k on my OME and they are still going (very tired, but non the less). Handled pretty well in Swisha. Mind you, I am a bit more sensible than you.

Ill be looking into the 5160s when the time comes. Thicker shaft (hehehe), and overall more beef.

My timeline is looking like just under 2 years for 5160's.

The day the truck is paid for, it gets some things :cookiemonster:

Rebuild is cheap, and 2.0 rears cost same price as Billies basically. I remember my 5100 and it’s a day and night difference. Fox 2.0 is close to 6112/5160 setup than 5100 ride wise. I’ve driven in a truck that had 6112/5160 too. They also don’t rust, cause aluminum and heat dispersion is better compare to anything else.

Oh hey, that’s a rough 60K of jumping, sending in the air, hauling with reversed leaf pack (who needs overload right?!) and general user abuse. I also went through race track and plenty other similar trails at high speeds, because #fun. And we know that stock suspension explodes on that trail.

I am also on my second steering rack now - so tells a lot how much I abuse the truck :)

My fox are still going at 65K, just not the same as first 50K(most users don’t notice it, because suspension wears over time and we get used to it - but I am picky). I am sure I can squeeze another 30K easy from them.

Perfect repair is a HC bumper front and rear.
That sucks though on such a newer truck.

I thought about it, but for the price of HC I can buy 20+ bumper caps from junk yard and still have left change for a beer.

That truck seen things all I can say, 40K miles of rough life on a one year old truck. It got me all over USA and Canada. Now it needs some love, so new parts are in the plans:bananadance:

In its current condition truck sales value is on par with 2012 Tacoma - that’s all I can say.:anonymous:

Been a little quiet in here :bananadead:

I had plans for wheeling this weekend, then went and got heat exhaustion on Friday by not paying attention to what I was doing.

Wrote my entire weekend off. Could not get rid of that hangover feeling. :anonymous:
