    Hi guys,

Want to get a compressor to inflate tires after trail riding. Anybody have something they like that uses the plug in power source in the bed of the truck?

    Thanks!

I use the viar 440P it alligator clips to the battery hence the P. It's fast for 33" tires. Much faster than other portable units and rivals the ARB twin but is reasonably priced.

The bed plug only gets you 400 watts, which wouldn’t run a pathetic hair dryer. Thus the air compressor(s) which clamp to the battery’s. Another shoutout for Viair.

I got a buddy with a Jeep that uses his ac compressor as an air compressor.

Weird way of putting it, a hair dryer uses more electricity than 95% of everything you use.

Welcome to the forum. As stated above, the bed plug isn't going to provide enough power to run a worthwhile compressor. Get a viair with alligator clips to attach directly to the battery.

The model you should get is going to be dependent on what size tires you're running.

Viair is fine for most people, most of the time.

You asked about the best, so get the ARB dual. Hardwire it, and run air chucks to your front and rear bumpers, or bed, engine bay, etc.
