Will be ordering JBA high caster UCAs. I'll be installing UCAs myself.
Not touching LCAs but seem like with the changed caster from the UCAs an alignment is needed asap. Am I correct to think this? If so, how long can I drive on no alignment before appointment?

When you drive it after replacing the UCA, you will understand, first hand, why you need an alignment right away.

I wouldn't drive much without an alignment. How long depends on how much you drive, how long you plan on keeping your current tires, and how badly it drives after the install

What are the immediate results from putting on high caster arms? Will the wheel move forward right after install?

Day or two tops. I’ve got the same UCA’s. Have fun installing them haha.

That, and you'll most likely have toe and camber problems.
Get an alignment. There's no way around it.

Camber and caster are related. You may experience tracking issues, tire rub, tire wear, etc. Every truck is a little different. Let us know how it works out

I'm definitely getting an alignment I'm just trying to coordinate the day of install in relation to alignment appointment. I'll try to do it within 24 hours of install. Thanks for the advice gentlemen.

You can check toe with fishing line and two axle stands; and check camber with a digital level. If they are reasonably close to neutral, then you can drive for a while with no ill effects.
The wheel moves *aft* with high-caster UCAs. The wheel moves forward only when you put in caster with LCA cams.

Support your spindle when it's disconnected from the UCAs so you dont damage your speed sensor wire

I've taken ball joints out of spindles before on other trucks and I've always slacked off the crown nut but but left it on and then hammered the spindle to release the joint. Is this the same idea in this case? And yes I've seen people tying up the spindle so I definitely will do that.

The most SoB part is that through-bolt. Everything else is no brainier...
