What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Getting after it with my kids, we are calling this the summer surf build. We are planning a long road trip up the Ca coast for some camping and surfing and hitting some National Parks on the way home. I am thinking that an RTT will be phase II but will wait on that until we return.

Installed @KTJO 4x4 plug and play Pop-a-Lock. Works like a charm!!

I’ve been putting it off for 2 months anticipating a longer job, but only took about an hour!

This took entirely too long. I'm about 75% done right now, but making progress. I need to wire the roof lamps, get the right hardware and mount the side bar pieces, wire the 3rd brake light and mount the utility lights. My friend and I hit a few snags getting the switch illumination working correctly but sorted through everything. I'm pumped with how it looks.

 

Now THAT is a proper bumper!!! I need that in my life!

 

I am about to do the same. Looking forward to being able to tow again.

Completed the Subaru tweeter upgrade today. Super easy to install. I recall buying this socket set for my Pontiac Vibe a number of years ago and it sure came in handy today. It definitely improves the sound quality and worth it.

 

Installed 5160's, progressive AAL, bolt flip kit with superbumbs. Completely ran out of time for front 6112. Hopefully I can get them in next week!

got panel made for the electronics inside the canopy. waiting on redarc manager30 to arrive. got my behemoth of a north star agm480 battery on deck.


manager30 is the top unit and pull shaped screen. also going in to control things will be a switch-pros 8100

 

I got my bumper installed.

 

That fucking thing rocks.

 

Despite the 100+ temps, I decided to work on the mod I've been planning for since my first Yota (1998):
I put a 10mm box wrench within reach. I was going to permanently bolt it on my crossover box...but I couldn't find another 10mm...if it rattles, I'll just jam the accelerator and let the Magnaflow drown it out...the camp carpool moms really seem to enjoy that with their kids running around the drop off zone, I can just tell by the look on their faces...

 

I woke up this morning and said, hell, it’s only going to be 109 degrees today, I should put all the stuff on my truck that have been piling up in the garage.
1st @MESO mirror turn signals

2nd @MESO Method center caps. These look so much better than the ones these wheels come with. For some reason 2 of the Method center caps only had 3 holes so I had to drill those. But love the results.

Then lastly the @Tacovinyl grill. I like it much better than the stock one. Took it for a drive on the free way TSS and adaptive cruise all work as they should still. Still not sold on the raptor lights and my still black them out, but we’ll see if they grow on me.

 

How difficult is the install?

 

Mostly some cosmetic stuff from Tufskinzs.. but I did add a solid fold 2.0 tonneau cover. Have some Katzkin covers coming in this week.... next weekend looks like seat covers and a few cold ones.
