is rooting your droid safe?

    whats the advantages with rooting your droid? the only thing i know of is you can take screenshots :p

    i have a moto droid with 2.2 on it.
    so is it safe to root? like should i worry about bricking my phone or anything?

    biggest advantage is running custom roms made by other developers with special enhancements, allowing theming and other stuff. If you're real geeky you can even run Linux on it.

    Yes it is generally safe as long as you follow the instructions.

    oh and you can block ads in apps ;D!

    Hitch and wiring, aux back-up light, rear strobe lights, radio and underseat sub.
    Worked fine for me. So far, all it did was allow me to install version 2.2

    the key is to never root your droid dry...Always apply a high grade lubricant on your interface plug. If she shorts out, you probably used too much. It's a careful balance. Some droids work better if you root them face down, that way their sensors are pointed away from you and won't readily detect any anomalies and thereby cause a shut down. Droids are great; even if you interface with them in non-recommended ports, they will still perform the necessary functions. And by all means, whatever you do, don't, under any circumstance...oh, what? Sorry, got to go...good luck!
