I get a little defensive about that, because it seems like the firearms community has way too many hall monitors. You post an AK build and someone asks "I assume that's 922r compliant?". You show off an SBR and hear "hope you have a stamp for that....".

No offense intended, because I see you were coming from a good place. I'd say that a PM would be the best way to get that info across. That way it seems less like virtue signaling. Not that my opinion is worth much, lol.

While i see where you’re coming from, I think in this instance he was just trying to make sure that the other guy wasn’t going to get jammed up. Hell, this new mag ban is new to me and I could guess some of the states where there are restrictions but I bet that I couldn’t name all of them

Just a simple reminder of the laws that impact potential buyers, that maybe a seller (in a free state) isn't aware of.

If it means anything I have the 1301 Tactical and the thing is lightening fast and has yet to have any issues through about 800 rounds....

    Anything specific your wondering about?

    Thanks!

No specifics. Just general feedback/opinions. I'm looking for an auto that I can use for many things. Fun gun, hunting, bear gun for my AK trips.

Been a Beretta O/U owner for many years, but never had an auto.

I hate to say it the 1301 has replaced my FN SLP tactical as my favorite shotgun at the moment I still this the FN is faster as I can dump 6+1 before the first shell its the ground....

The 1301 is much smoother and lighter on the recoil but still fast...

How do I decide which of my guns to cut for a red dot? I have everything except the slide cut.
    My options are:
    1. Have my polymer 80 Glock19 build cut
    2. Have my spare M&P full size slide cut

My red dot holster fits both guns and both have 9mm threaded barrels, but I also have a .40 barrel for the M&P.
The upside to cutting the Glock is I eventually want to use it as a competition gun and I would probably want a red dot on a comp gun.
Both guns pull nightstand duty and both are shot suppressed, the M&P with plain slide and .40 barrel will be my duty weapon though.

Edit: the cost is extremely similar.

    Just do both :)

But really the Glock sounds like the better option since you have future plans for it (competition) vs just having it.

I took my red dot off my nightstand gun.

Eventually both will be done assuming I like having the dot.
The largest reason I’m torn is because I can swap between 9 and 40 and keep the dot with the M&P but the Glock probably is the better choice.

    Pardon my nosiness, why?

Because it costs more than milling, a bare slide costs about the same as milling and then you have to buy the internals.
