    When I had my first driving lesson in my dad's 18 wheeler, I was going to turn right and a car that was also going to turn right almost got sandwiched between my trailer and a fire hydrant... The trailers all have a Caution: Wide Turns with a cartoon of what the driver did. After that, I didn't have any more lessons on public roads lol.

    Damn son. I really don’t drive next to 18 wheelers or stay anywhere near them. If I am next to one at a turn I let them pass or quickly pass them on the highway

    You're not supposed to be next to them. It's safer for you and the driver. McAllen drivers are the worst, and the driver's from Mexico are even worse. I got on the highway with the big rig, and 4/5 lanes were taken by Mexican drivers going 50 on a 75... The only lane open was the far left, but trucks aren't supposed to be there in the first place so I was stuck behind these morons basically riding my brakes since they were too busy texting and shit. I was going to honk my air horn, but dad stopped me right as I was about to pull the wire... It's an act of aggression, and can't honk at anyone while in a truck. The rules for driving a truck are extremely different than driving a car. The drivers from Mexico are afraid of doing the limit, don't know what a yield sign is, and don't know it's legal to turn on red

    I'm grateful I didn't get the airbags to explode. That crash was before the Takata airbag recall was in place, so I probably would've lost an eye or something. We just did the recall a year ago

    I35 is an absolute mess. The highway has been under construction since I can remember, potholes everywhere, and everyone either drives like an idiot or doesn’t pay attention to anything. I’ve witnessed several accidents. I saw one last week where there was a cop who pulled a car over on the shoulder, and a little ranger was in the far right lane (4 lanes total) and wasn’t paying attention to the cop. He didn’t check his blind spot or anything and just switched lanes to get away from the cop and hit a small mazda. The mazda flew across 3 lanes somehow missing everyone, slamming into the concrete barrier on the far left side and then rolling several times.

    Shit that's bad. I hate drivers that see a police officer dealing with someone, and don't even make an attempt of switching over to the opposite lane. A police officer in my town of Hidalgo was killed back in the 1980's because of this. An 18 wheeler hit the officers head with his blind spot mirror doing 60mph
