Of course being a bear riding eagle hugging strapped pistols on each boot bazooka on my back American, I’d go confront the individual and Kill them with kindness, become their friend, get a spare key, bring their mail, shit all over their walls and in their ducts. Although.. maybe not my shit.. yea leave no dna. But really— that sucks man. Hope you get it settled. Ok so I learned that strata is canadian for condominium. It’s not just a food or a geomorphology related term.

I also learnt that strata communities have an HOA type deal going on where they engage in turf wars, but since they can’t simply shoot each other like those in the U.S. with traditional HOAs do, they just end up stealing each other’s maple syrup and flinging paint stripper on other people’s cars.

The OP says he knows who did it but can't prove it. So there is more to the story than we are being told.

I would caution against escalating revenge. Maybe just do something to the guy or his stuff that he will never know about or connect to the OP or the paint incident, but that is it.

 

Oh no no. You HAVE to escalate. There is definitely more to the story here, but if it’s obvious to OP who did it, then it’s probably obvious to whomever did it that they know OP knows. If op lets it go, the other person CLEARLY wins. EVERYONE in a strata knows that. Back when I lived in a condo (U.S. term for strata) we settled this shit in the exercise room with knives. But again, that’s just how we do down here.

 

Even if OP pissed someone off or something, doesn’t mean he was deserving of this. That’s a criminal act and before all you internet detectives try to dig into this case, just realize that some people are just totally fucked up. That’s why the world we live in is going to shit.
