They are imitating the Toyota units that fail to respond to throttle input and go into neutral when making a turn. Gotta pursue the competition.

50k miles on a set of tires without rotating with no uneven wear?

I can see your Craigslist post selling them....

I blame the dealership not the truck. I got the recall notice to bring it in and they don’t have the part in stock. I gotta wait 2-3 days. Toyota dealers are like Subaru drivers: Act like their shit don’t stink and they are doing me a favor by even talking to me. :brianr:

Was it the dealership or Toyota that notified you of the recall? If it was Toyota Corp then chances are the dealership needed to verify through your VIN you were a candidate then get your parts on order. When a recall is announced it can catch the supply / logics chain off guard with a sudden demand on parts.

Be happy you only had to wait a few days. When the differential recall happened a few years ago, some people here had trucks confiscated for months waiting on repair parts. Toyota gave them loaners during the wait but that's what a recall can be.

Sounds like you dont like to be inconvenienced, I get that but from everything you've provided it looks like Toyota took care of you as well as they could.

Dropped the truck off on Friday and told the dealership I'd be back late Saturday to pick it up. They said they installed the part on Saturday morning when they called and left a message telling me the truck was ready. Picked up the truck at 2pm. Today the dealership called and said they had the part in stock and could I bring the truck in so they could install it?!! WTF!? So what part did they install if any? I am sure the truck is fine but this dealership has ruined the Toyota name for me.

    Yeah.
I've had this happen -- the people making the calls to set appointments apparently have a list they go through, which isn't synchronized with what may have already happened. They just called you from an already outdated list.

What were your recalls for? I’ve only had 1. So I’m curious.

Dude, the people making those calls are just working off a list as was already explained. They are two different departments and they don’t always get coordinated due to conflicting schedules, work loads, etc. Not that big a deal. You sound like a real pleasure to deal with...

Lol at no car needing it at one year. What perfect world do you live in? There are so many variables as to why an alignment would need attention. Boy, can I come live in your fantasy world!
