I was just gonna try that ball joint pressing tool you mentioned earlier. Or smack a 35mm axle nut socket on the back of it with a sledge hammer until it goes in lol. Or gets destroyed

I don't have a hydraulic press press, only an arbor press. My lil brother has one though. What are you guys talking about, leaf spring bushings? I've never had to press out stock ones before. I have Deavers that use poly bushings. Being well over 10 yrs old they we shot (loose as hell). I replaced them last year, put on greasable shackles & main eye bolts too. I've never had any clunking though.

Speaking of clucking, my truck started clunking in the front anytime it rained. Now it clunks when it's dry. Replaced my LBJs last week thinking it was them since they'e got well over 100K on them. Wasn't the problem, they were still good, no play at all & they were Moogs. I put new Moogs back on. Yeah, yeah, yeah, OEM blah blah blah. :luvya:

It's my outer tie rod ends & maybe inners too cause the're pretty loose also. I regreased them when I replaced the LBJs, most of the clunking went away. Replacing both inner & outer tie rods today after work.

Replacing all this crap with a bad back sucks!

Not 100% sure, that's what I thought it was last year when it started happening. Would only clunk going over speed bumps with the wheels turned when wet. I think I said that here a while back cause I know my bushings are torn.

We'll see today after I replace all the tie rods, they're loose as hell. If it is the LCA bushings, then I don't care, I'll wait till my buddy's garage is finished being built.

Yeah but the socket got stuck in the leaf after pushing the bushing out because it was fge same diameter as the bushing

    Everything but the driveshaft. B03A - 410
Had some poly bushings damn near drive me crazy with a creaking noise. Had to buy a chassis ear to pinpoint the noise. I only use poly on end links now.

Hammers are Thumb Detectors. Crescent/adjustable wrenches are Nut Rounders. I have a genuine Thumb Detecting Nut Fucker just like AvE.

Don't put Autozone LCAs on your truck. The bushings fail in 10,000 miles lol.
